Gameday Hire have developed a remote production solution designed to simplify sports production and transmission for tier 2 sports and below. The system is based on our wealth of experience with LiveU, Peplink, Newtek, Unity Intercom and APT Worldcast systems. Multiple simultaneous HD broadcast camera feeds can be transmitted from site via LiveU bonded cellular systems, to a remote Production Hub which can be deployed anywhere with reasonable internet connectivity.
A small fly away kit based around the LiveU LU800 multi channel transmitters is deployed to the venue, which can accept standard HD video from a range of cameras. Multiples of 4 cameras can be added my adding more LU800 transmitters. There is a redundant video and audio path from site which can be via bonded cellular, public internet, or a combination of both. A return video monitoring feed is also provided.
The Production Hub incorporates a Newtek Tricaster which allows switching, basic replay and audio mixing and is designed to be operated by a single director/ switcher. All necessary video and audio monitoring is included, and comms are provided by the Unity Intercom system. From the hub the produced feed can be transmitted direct to a web stream, or out to broadcast, again using our LiveU systems.
Graphics is delivered via an HTML5 feed from the LIGR graphics system in the cloud. Graphics can be fully automated based on the supplied data feed, or manually operated.
Live sport isn’t the same without commentary, so we designed a remote commentary kit that can be shipped to the commentator’s location, connected to power, and within minutes a super low latency video, audio and comms path is established to the hub. A standard Sonifex commentary box provides a comfortable and familiar control surface which supports up to 3 commentators, with integrated talkback and program audio. Multi path resiliency is built in via bonded cellular and public internet.
